It has the ability to liquefy it completely. So if you have something in a metal bucket that you want to heat up, this will do it for sure. Good quality cord, and a dial thermostat. All of it seems to work as you would expect. Be careful. It gets HOT.
So far, I'm very happy. This gets up to temperature fast and holds very well. I was a bit worried that it might be too hot, but it's kept my honey at a good temperature to de-crystalize yet not go over and ruin the honey.
Works perfect on buckets. I used to heat up for my driveway sealer.
I use it to cover an area in the boat transom to keep it warm -- then the epoxy can cure properly in the cold weather. This allows me to fix my boat even though overnight temperature has dropped below the recommended temperature for curing epoxy. I use duct-tape and wood block to keep it stick to the surface to keep the surface warm.
No issues out of the box. Surprisingly great results for the price. Used to uncrystalize honey.
