I do a lot of fabrication work in a metal shop, if you know anything about the trade or fabrication you know what a pain in the ass it is to get your tape to hook onto anything round. this little thing is a great addition to the tool kit and it stays hooked onto your tape. Its like an extra set of hands. Had it out in the field a few times to do some field measuring and not only does it hook to pipe and round stuff, but, if you are pulling long distances this thing keeps the tape hooked onto the edge of ANYTHING like its got duct tape stuck to it. Can put tension on it and its accurate... wild that such a little gadget could be so useful, gonna buy a pile for the guys in the shop.
Finish carpenter/ Cabinet installer, this tool is awesome and I don’t regret my purchase. I have a dedicated tape with this on it. Showed to my boss. You won’t regret it, it grabs like no other tape hook
Works great. It will grab a gutter but it’s a little heavy on the end of the tape. It just took a little adjustment on my part.
I purchased one and received it today, and I installed it on my Tape Measure and went out to measure Eves around my house. This accessory makes the tape measure a bit stronger once the tape is extended. I can't believe the difference it makes. It doesn't interfere with the operation of the tape, and I love this accessory.
This does exactly what it is supposed to do, makes measuring odd shapes and long distances easy by yourself. My one piece of advice is to make sure you are hooking on to what you are measuring with your tape hook.
