Description

Smooth, Secure Lifting in Seconds!

“This wire sling is very well made. It is well designed and should work very well for dragging logs in the woods. I usually cut the downed trees into 10 or 12-foot lengths then drag them to my work area with my side by side with a tow strap. This wire sling will be a great new option in place of the tow strap.” - Jake Caldwell

Beastly Wire Rope Sling - Maybe Overkill for Homeowner Use

I ordered this to move large sections of felled tree trunks from where they are in the yard to the burn pile, finding it much easier to use the truck than rely on my own strength. Previously, I’ve used tie-down straps, but they often break. The cable sling, however, is strong enough to handle heavy loads without issue. It’s designed to withstand the pressure and won’t snap unless subjected to extreme misuse.
The cable is thick and has some spring to it, so securing it around items like logs may take a little effort, but once it's in place, you can trust that it will hold up. The sling's durability ensures that it’s up to the task, whether you're lifting or pulling round objects like logs.
I’m very satisfied with its performance and don’t foresee any homeowner ever wearing it out. It’s reliable and does exactly what I need it to do.

Very heavy duty wire cable

We have a wooded lot where many trees have fallen across trails and into our pond. It is much easier to cut them up if they are moved to a safer place to work. The cable & hook wraps around the tree and uses the tension to hold the trunk tighter under load.

I was impressed with the heaviness of the cable and hook. The spring-loaded snap-on hook keeps the cable in place. The cable has loops in two different sizes: one to connect to the hook and another for attaching to whatever you're using to drag or tow. I prefer to use the tractor to pull items like this, but it would even work with a pickup truck (or oxen too!).

Heavy Duty Cable

I wasn't sure how different this would be compared to just using a chain to pull downed trees or logs, but the simplicity of the slip design of the choker on this is more useful than I would have imagined. I don't have to worry about attaching my chain loosely. This adjusts to what I am hauling with no slipping at all. On a farm, it is useful for uprooting sapling trees without digging. The heavy half-inch cable tightens down on the tree, and I use my front loader to lift them out of the ground. No digging, no large hole, and easy cleanup.
